PechaKucha Night Austin PechaKucha Night was devised in Tokyo in February 2003 as an event for young designers to meet, network, and show their work in public. It has since turned into a massive celebration, with events happening in hundreds of cities that inspire creatives worldwide. Drawing its name from the Japanese term for the sound of conversation ("chit chat"), it rests on a presentation format that is based on a simple idea: 20 images x 20 seconds. The format makes presentations concise, and keeps things moving at a rapid pace. 
art night austin: E.A.S.T. art night austin EAST is the official preview party for the East Austin Studio Tour, featuring the most interesting work being exhibited, created and performed during E.A.S.T. Each space is paired with a taste of the east side's culinary culture and offers complimentary bites, bevs and music to complete the cultural trek. Wrap up the preview party with the artists of E.A.S.T. at the after-party. 
art night austin A preview of the artists and partners collaborating in Spring 2011, culture enthusiasts venture through Austin's premier galleries, museums and temporary art spaces for a sampling of the most interesting work being created, exhibited and performed in Austin. Each space is paired with complimentary chef-prepared bites, select wines and music to complete the cultural trek. 
art week austin Art Week Austin is series of dynamic collaborations developed to encourage discussion, exploration, and the celebration of Austin's creative community. 2011 marks a unique opportunity for cross discipline collaboration with the convergence of several art happenings in spring 2011 including AMOA's triennial New Art in Austin, Texas Biennial, ON SITE/New Work and the Fusebox Festival. Special exhibitions, art talks, collaborative public art projects, temporary installations, public art bike tours and art-focused think tanks taking place throughout the week are produced both by Art Alliance Austin and partner organizations.
