PechaKucha [ or ペチャクチャ translated as “chit-chat”] is a series of brief 6 minute talks from presenters in the creative industry including: artists, musicians, architects, filmmakers, writers, entrepreneurs, and local personalities. Each presenter shows 20 images, each for 20 seconds. The presentations are not a pitch, but a format to share insights and stories.

Art Alliance Austin is thrilled to announce that this year’s Art City Austin festival will include an evening reception indoors at the Palmer Event Center on Friday, April 29 from 6:00 to 10 p.m. The reception will celebrate Art City Austin’s newest addition the Art City Fair presented by Tito’s Handmade Vodka, a highly curated contemporary art area that will showcase art galleries from across Texas as well as self-represented artists displaying work on large gallery walls, similar to national art fairs. The Art City Fair will feature traditional art fair style booths including 10′ white walls and mounted lighting.

Austin Art Breaks Austin Art Breaks

Art Alliance Austin’s newest member only happy hour event series. Join us the fourth Thursday of each month at our member only event: Austin Art Breaks.  Come out and enjoy a drink or two while chatting it up with other Art Alliance Austin members and get a backstage pass to local galleries, collectors homes and local artist studios.  Each monthly happy hour will be at a different location so check the schedule before you find a parking spot.

“Under the Overpass” at SkyLines is a collaboration between Dance Waterloo and Cindertalk. Join us for an evening of dance, live music, and public art. The event will take place November 21 & 22 at 7 & 8 pm as part of EAST Austin Studio Tour at 1114 Nile St Austin, TX 78712.
