The city of Austin’s Art in Public Places has new additions including Kempelen’s Owls and the 2019-2020 TEMPO pieces!
Kempelen’s Owls were created by New American Public Art! The sculptures were inspired by the Texas native Great Horned Owl and were created from 3D scans of a local owl from the collection at the University of Texas’ Texas Memorial Museum.
TEMPO Convergence brings together all seven TEMPO 2019 library artworks to Edward Rendon Sr. Park, located along Ladybird Lake just east of I-35, from November 7th to 30th . The annual TEMPO program commissions artists to create temporary installations that impact the way people experience the city.
